EIP Development Tools

The group has a long history of supporting development projects and a number of important tools have resulted. Members drive the development agenda, contribute to and learn from the development process and gain early access to project results.

Customer Focus Network

The need for better understanding of the influence of Customer Focus on service delivery emerged within the group during 2004 and a formal programme of work was announced at the EIP Conference in 2005.

Senior Managers' Development Course

This series of four events resulted in eleven briefing notes and development checklists. The areas covered include topics like the role of HR in Service Integration, Sustainable Partnerships and the role of Information in Service Partnerships.

PEG (Promoting Excellent Government)

The two-year ISB-funded PEG Project took the approach taken in the BICIS project and developed additional tools for self-assessment of nine Critical Success Factors. The results of this analysis indicate areas of transformation that result in excellence in all nine success factors.

The PEG web-site includes a good-practice database and an online tutorial as well as a download area where all PEG deliverables can be obtained.

BICIS (Benchmarking in Community Informaction Services)

A two phase project in conjunction with LGMB that resulted in the "Minimum" / "Good" / "Best" approach to benchmarking later refined in PEG.
