Introduction to the group
The group has been in existence since 1992 and works at three levels:
- Chief Executive and elected Members study group
- EIP Development Group - an invited group of senior officers from authorities seen to be making significant progress in service delivery
- Ordinary members from all types of authority
Members work together to deliver a programme to help UK local authorities improve performance by majoring on customer focus. Individual contributions enrich the developing whole group improvement plan on a continuing basis. Members network through meetings and the annual conference and support each other by telephone, email and through the private pages of this web site.

Membership is through an organisational subscription and we do not disclose the identities of individuals nominated by their authorities, except to other members.
